Compare the MPC 1000 to the Korg ES-1 Sampler...

i still dont understand how that plastic and rubber thing is more "solidly constructed" than her.oh well, that thing wont have any software prob's though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (just because there's not much software there)

of course you can do both but they were built with genre's in mind...

the electribe doesn't have the bounce that the mpc has... my brother was looking to do hip hop and got one of these things and now is upset he did.

i think i will eventually defect to the electribe camp - I love the 1k, but you can't mess with samples the way you can with an electribe and i mainly use it for live, so i need maximum knob tweaking - when i started off i thought i wanted all of that lovely 128 mb sampling time, but nowadays i want more limitations!

Limitations can be a good thing, but the Es-1? That's what I wanted before I found out about the 60. But for live rigid step sequencing the es is good to go.

I have an ES-1 and all it does now is collect dust. Man! thinkin of it I need to sell this thing.
