Let one track mute the other

this is a nice feature request, i like it, way better than having to press 2 buttons at once.

it would be even better if unmuting 1 track could mute 3 or 4 tracks at once. Great for breakdowns.

I like it, because it's cool for live jamming and improvisation.

1. Get JJ OS (not sure if this is possible with the akai os)

2. On main screen, seq selected press !"window", switch "next sequence" to "immediately play"

3. Make 2 Seqs, one normal, one with the fill.

The next sequence starts at the beginning... is not an option, the breaks should begin instantly.

so, why not have a 1 bar 'fill' sequence?

"Immediatly Play" switches immediatly, not going back to the start but keeping the position. Not possible on Akai OS though, i think

Isn't there a way to do an instantaneous change to the sequence? Could you just put the fill in another sequence, then flip the data wheel over to the fill sequence and then back to the main one?

That's what I do when performing live, build a sequence to a song realtime...

I'm in front of my mpc now and it's starting the 'next sequence' immediatly, that's cool, but from the 'next sequence' start.

It's working tho it has its limits. I still would love to see track muting by another track in the list of (new) features.

why would it be off? just instantly switch on the 4 to the 'fill' sequence.

I still think the easiest way to do what you're trying to do would be to just hit both pads at the same time while in the track mute screen, like this:

Stupid beat, but you should be able to hear what I am doing, and that is switching between the two tracks instantly, muting the other one, and instantly switching back and muting again, without changing the bar position of the sequence.

Is this not what you're trying to do?

Yes, I hear ya, this still works better than switching sequences cause you also have other tracks to take care of, which can be on or off in the next sequence and this can't be influenced while still in the first sequence...
