MPC1000 RAM and CF card Recommendations

from the specs alone, i would say yes, but you will be taking your chances because that auction does not mention who the manufacturer of the chip is. so without knowing that, i wouldn't get it. (that's just me though)

mpc noobie here, just got a 1000. have no idea whats up with the flash cards.. (or hard drives)..would like to keep upgrading this under $300.00 if at all possible.i posted in the hard drive thread basically the same thing...just trying to get as many responses as i can.

for the $300 that you want to spend, you can max out the mpc with no problem. the most expensive thing will be the hard drive at around $100 you can get a 100gb hard drive. everything else, you can get for under $50 ea.

so a Kingston 128mb flash card will work for my mpc 1000 ???.. cuase its way cheaper than other cards... it wont mess up my equipment will it??

i just installed a Western Digital 120GB WD1200VE harddisk and 256MB Kingston PC133(Mhz) CL3 SODIMM. no problems at all.

If this forum wouldn't be i'd have bought the EXM ram and that 80GB HD for a lot more money! :wink:

that would be fine. and it would be a good choice. but i would also look over in the other thread regarding hard drives. i would get a HD in addition to the CF cards
