So the HDM10 is shipping from California, which costs a little extra for us east coasters (I think I ended up payign 2 dollars more than Sparqs initial preorder) and will take a day or two extra to get here. No big deal, just for your info.here is the reason you paid a little more than me. when i first pre-ordered mine, akai did not have physical stock of it yet and were not sure which of their warehouses were going to get it. they gave me a quote as if it were being shipped from Rhode Island. once akai found out that they were going to ship from California, the shipping charge for us on the East cost went up because it's not coming from RI, it's coming from Cali.

hey i got my kit and put my harddrive in. mpc recognizes it and everything.
however, when i try to save anything in it, it says the "disk is full."
and when i try to make a new folder in it it says "system error."
sparq did you have this happen? could you suggest what's the deal?

Yo, I just ordered the HDM10 kit yesterday..and for some reason, the dude made a mistake, he said it was $20 and Akai in Rhode Islands still has them in stock..the total came out to be a little over $26 ($20 for the HDM10 + $5 ground shipping)
just want to share my story
so if any of you who still hasn't ordered the HDM10 yet, give them a call, maybe you can pull off a few bucks if you're lucky
