I do have a strange problem:
I chopped a sample (Hihat Drum Snare) in the Chop Modus and converted it to a new program,
and now when i programm a beat with the 3 Samples i got a strange behaviour:

when i change the sequence and return to it i can only hear the recorded hihat and nothing else. the drum hit up sometimes and not at the right positions and the snare even disappears off the loop :-(
I don´t know what it could be, the loop was ok before i changed the sequence...

just for general info:
- i recorded everything in individual tracks.
- I did not turn any mute on the tracks or else.

someone knows what´s wrong ?!!

I see i was not the only one having it play in the trim and not in the main screen.

I fixed it by factory reset as well, holding down erase while booting.

However, i think this problem is caused by that function internal sounds with pad: set to OFF. leave it on. This was for people who were triggering midi devices and didn't want the pgm to be triggered at the same time

I feel somewhat emotional about this os update. because of it i could finnally do a lot of my pre-production at work without needing my macs for editing. Thanks Akai and a special thanks to Sparq cause he had to deal with a lot of assh'les and hostility from a bunch of ungrattfull mothaf*ckas!!!

Respect Fam!

Method wrote:I have a strange problem, i loaded up the impeach drumbreak and chopped it up to 10 diffrent slices, then i converted and made a new program.
Now i set the metronome thing to 1/8 50% and then record the hihats, change track and gonna record the kick and snare, i bang out to the hihats awile until i like it and then record it, now to the problem........the sounds like cuts all the bass? and when i then play it therse almost no sound at all...
I have format my CF yesterday and changed to 0db

But if i load up one for the nym drumkits it works great.

Hope u understand : )

in the program parameters screen there is a new function to the top right of the screen where it says PLAY. you can set the whole program to be mono or poly. it seems when you slice a sample and create a new program from that it defaults to mono. just switch it to poly and you should be fine.

i noticed in step edit mode that when you press the overdub button to add notes it stays on where before it only came on when you held it down.
not sure if thats good or bad yet though.
what is annoying me is if you say change a pad number in step edit the rec light comes on and stays on as well. you have to press it to go off or if you touch a pad it will be entered the sequence

It helps prevent overloads.

This thingy about adjusting it is irellevant to your pgm volume thang/issue.

i knew i wasn't crazy.

in step edit, i got strange results by using shift + the locate buttons, if there are some pads already recorded in the track.

for instance " shift + < " (to go one step back asccording to TC) does not seem to go anywhere, although sometime it does a multiple select...

and " shift + > " (to go forth) just goes where there is another pad entered, although it used to go every step.

---

the way the mute groups reacts seems also different. but this is easily fixed by using the mute target. (useful feature btw)

----
and i also got the blank screen on startup. "power + erase" fixed it. nice one solah :)

Let this be a lesson to us all...(1)to be patient and mature. and (2) that if you have a certain something that you are sure every one else will covet, it might be a good asumption that rule 1 is null and void around here.

I hope its everything you B!tched and moaned for and more.
