Mpc 1000?

recordable track mutes???? darn you jahrome!!!!!!!! lol, just kidding....lol,but you got to admit track mutes r something that u cant duplicate on the 1000 period. just taking them out is not the same thing. if there was a way to get all the tracks on the mixer than u could get close to the same thing but wgaf? lol, i love that al bundy shizz. but also good luck programming jungle with a 1000. you really need a grid editor to do that unless you messing with loops which aint jungle. anyway i agree that its kinda against the whole thing a mpc is about morally,lol. im serious it really is.

you can do jungle without the grids (i like grids), BBBUUUTTT - no grid makes u play more events yourself too....and can actually force u outside the stale old norm which can mutate a style which means an extra level of creativity and expression which means individuality.

i cant think of any artist i ever respected for being same as everyone else.

besides, when i want griddy kind of vibe, i can use note repeat with varying quantise......(actually more quantise defs would be ace in an OS update).

but all things (not) being equal, if the 2500 had been out when i chose my mpc 1k, i would have gone for the 2500 instead, more faders,knobs,grid,outs, smaller than all the rest (bar 1k), tilt screen.
but akai !? they ARE mad you know, and they should up the max event quota to 300,000.
