Lol, it's funny i got such a response. All i did was strip it, sand the metal to adhear and primer it. It could not have been easier to do. Took me 20 min. Just preping it for my next project but i wanted it to still be usuable in the mean time since i won't beable to get started for awhile. So i put it back together. For anyone who wants to do it. Just strip or sand your case, buy some primer spray it, let it dry for 10 min and put it back.
The sides, that's a bit different. I stripped the mpc logo, painted them metalic black. Shaveing the mpc logo on the side took awhile. Plus i sanded after every coat. Probably 4 coats of color, 6-7 clear. Those took awhile. But i did that awhile ago.

I took a new pic for those who want to see. I had to move it to a lighter surface to get it to look decent. Here is the primered 1k

Well, i was planning to paint it, but i kind of like it like this. I have a project i'm thinking of doing but i may scrap it and leave it like that. I get alot of comments on it. I like it understated. So this was not supposed to be the end of my project, i haven't even painted it yet. It just happened to look kind of cool, in my oppinion. Plus if i scratch it, just sand for 2 min and repaint.

tell you what, you could try and get someone with the blue mpc who is buying the black kit to send you the bule faceplate for cheap, then you could do your other design on that, just to compare. having said that though, i guess just sanding it off and starting again would be easier. shut up modnar. ok

Well, i have everything i need to go get a stincil made, i just need to find the time to do it. This is the couple of weeks, i have tons of papers due this week, finals next week. I tried to get started yesterday when i had some time but it didn't work. I don't even have to sand though, the primer is first coat i would use, I just need to scuff and paint.

I'm sorry but I think it looks like shiat painted like that and without the lettering on.. Looks like a machine that you could built from the bottom.. Iv'e never seen a good paintning job of an MPC and i'm definetly not in to this one either. but. get the lettering on and you might surprise me, I doubt it but who knows.. I would never try something like this. you can't really reverse it.. And, i think it's a bit nerdy too.. hehe.
