question about slicing samples

Are you saying that when you make your stereo samples mono, sounds are phased out?

damnit....im up all GDAM night tryna fig this shit out....well,,,kinda phased,,,also all mushed together, like imagine lookin at the sound wav, and everything gettin pushed to the middle together....muffled, non crisp, no depth to it...you know...like how an AM station would sound,,,..mono damnit

im tellin you,,,try it,,,take a definate stereo sample..do the trim, chop, then do the sliced samples thing, then compare your chops to your original wit the scroll wheel..bigtime difference in crispness, and everything.. i hate this goddamn machine...if i couldnt sell it and get more than i paid for it, i would break this fukin thing over a babies face or something....i gotta get some sleep...bye..

Its like that but far more severe..

the "slice" option does seem to degrade quality...but just normal chopping does not degrade quality...i think that's the difference between what you're saying and what some other folks are talking about
