May I be awfully British and make a suggestion ? ;)

How about a seperate board especially for N00bs. One forum I frequent has a board just like this called "Getting Started" with a sub header that reads along the lines of "If you're new here and need some questions answering, this is the first place to try"

That way, if you don't want to be bombarded by n00b questions, you just don't visit that board. If a n00b asks a question in the wrong place, Mods just move it over and those of us who feel like being civil, polite and helpful can visit that board and dispense our knowledge and expertise to a captive audience.

Just a suggestion that seems to have worked elsewhere :)

Hmmm.... Fascinating concept. It wouldn't happen to be this board, would it?

Or were you making one of those dry British humor jokes?
