I haven't gotten real crazy with mine. Thanks to Nym's youtube video, I was able to change out my LCD without destroying anything (two screws left over though - LOL).

Yeh, nice ... I would of only had white buttons for the 'rec n overdub' buttons ... also white dials for the gain n vol .... and white end tabs for the MPC - that would really finish your unit off nice. Mine is all black, but was thinking about a white contrast ?

im going to get my hands on an mpc 1000, and seeing this thread is making me want to customize, but i got one question.....how are you guys painting the top cover a different color, and not painting over the lettering?

I got the service manual off a thread here and then looked up the part number. They look like 2.2v 3mm L934 series kingbright led's. So I was just gonna order the same model, but in blue.

Im thinking of changing my leds over to blue - but all the blue leds i come across seem to bea higher voltage. these ones attached have a forward voltage of 3.2-3.6V.. does it matter that they are a bit different from the originals (at 2.2 quoted above..)
