Oh yea I'm not from T-Dot but, I represent K-Dubs a.k.a K-Town a.k.a Kitchener. The hip hop scene is growing here but, there are no locals that show there love. We don't get enough support down here. It's a lil upsetting :(

SukhDee wrote:Mattskillz????? I have been lookin into gettin ProTools LE and an Mbox but, I don' know if It's worth it cause I don't know hwo serious I am. I have Acid 4.0 at the moment and Sound Forge but, I've also worked with ProTools LE and it seems to be the best around. Any input would be great.

P.S How mush did it cost you??????????

pro tools is dope for a lot of things. the mbox is alright but i am upgrading to the 002 rack. if you've got a tower the digi 001 is ill. i paid around 700 with tax for the mbox. i guess it really depends on what you want to do. i sample and sequence on the mpc and record in pt. i'll throw some plugs in on my shit-u know compress it and shit. eq... i mostly use pt for recording mix cd's and using plug-ins. i've got sampletank 2 and t-racks going as well. they're a dope combo. you can't go wrong with the mbox but you'll be very limited with i/o's.

Does anyone need sample CDs? My fam here in Queens has a whole bunch. I'm only here for four more days.

Peace.

I want to give my Toronto peeps first dibs on this mixer. Great for small to medium setups. I ran the following gear through this mixer:

MPC4000 - 2 channels
Studio Projects B1s - 2 channels
Fantom S-88 - 2 channels
Roland VP-9000 - 2 channels
Planet Phatt - 2 channels

with 4 other channels still available (14 channels in all).

It has Phantom Power and XLRs for your mics.

Purchased for $1000, selling for $400 or a good trade seen.

Also have a EMU Planet Phatt for sale, $200.

Holla at me.

Peace.

Does anyone got an MPC for this guy?

Anyone interested in the goods I'm selling, I would rather sell it locally than put it up on eBay or something.

yoyo, wuddup? t.o. mpcer's. been really busy and missed a lot of what was going on. right now i am just chillin' listening to some curtis mayfield. i think i still have a message on my phone from one of you guys. sorry i didn't get back to ya? anyway, i am back and want to make some moves. who wants to hook up. shadow-i will pass on the info about your items for sale. as far as a role call goes i am sort of like an in the closet dj with aspirations of producing some dope shit one day. mostly just love music and want to make some good music. you could call me a hobbiest or whatever. i mix, scratch, do a little freestylin' and am now just trying to figure out my gear/mpc1000. favourite hip hop producers list would be very long but if i had to narrow it to 3 i'd pick rza, primo and pete rock. anyway, we should def get something going as it seems there's a lot of interest here. i am down for whatever. what nights are best for all ya'll?

Technics 1200's
Vestax Pro II
MPC1000
MBOX for now but upgrading to Digi 002 rack (on the way thanks to digidesign upgrade program)
Pro Tools
iBook
SM58 and AT4040
Roland MIDI Controller
and some other software and plug-ins and shit

Friday and Sunday nites are cool with me. Location doesn't matter. I know downtown but I don't know too much about bars and restaurants. I know about the clubs that's about it. Any time you guys are ready to go.

If everyone is located near the core, sounds like the core will be the place to go.

I brought back some vinyl and samples from NYC to share or trade. Holler. Hell, I'll bring some chrons too. Got some good B.C sh!t.

Peace.

lets work on a little EP/Collab.

maybe 6 or 7 tracks. It's alot better working together as a unit trying to get put on as opposed to everybody joining a rat race to the finish line

I've got beats and I could get a few dope emcees to drop verse's aswell.

Let's get this on and poppin
