MPC3000,
You have your opinion, I have mine. Your comments are very negative and unhelpful, but thanks for your manifesto below. In reply:
- wrong. I assume nothing. This function has been on the MAIN SCREEN for 15 years. Where do most people do their sequencing from? The MAIN SCREEN. You claim I am presumptious, please.
- wrong. I purchased an MPC1000, not an EMU Command station, SP606 or MV8000. Of course this is relevant. If AKAI markets and sells this unit as an MPC, it should operate like an MPC.
- MPC3000, you must have some great dust you're smoking over there, these comments are completely idiotic. A drill drills. A washing machine washes clothes. Sound editing software edit sounds. A midi sequencer should sequence midi. Part of sequencing is the ability to increase or decrease the volume of what you record into it. Yes, I can return it, thanks. Making a purchase based on your expectations, this is normal consumer behavior, and occurs billions of times a day around the world. This is not self destructive behavior, sorry.
- Yes. 25 Employees is a good #. Have you read the MPC4000 new OS features? 25 Employees coded and delivered those improvements. I spent $900 on this unit. This is a good portion of my net income. I could buy a washer / dryer, used car, table saw, leather sofa, etc. What should AKAI do? Have their employees update the OS to include the velocity adjustment on the main screen.

You are assuming that everyone else considers this to be a vital component of the MPC

How the previous MPC's operated is irrevelent to most MPC1000 owners

Never, ever buy equipment for what you think it should do, or what it might do in the future. You are only setting yourself up for disapointment and is a self-destructive behavior that may possibly extend beyond a person's equipment buying habit.

Should Akai Pro, with only 25 employees, stop work on other enhancements to get this in?
