I have to disagree here. Since Sparq informed everyone here about the update, he saved alot of people from selling their 1k. Otherwise people would've went back the the 2k/2kxl or even spend twice the amount of money to buy the 2.5k. If it kills you guys so much to watch these videos, go out and buy a 2.5k and stop complaining.

never said i was gonna sell mine in the first place. infact, i've had no problem using all the workarounds (recycle, wavlelab, bluebox, nuendo) while half the people here just piss and moan about 2.0.

I'm excited about 2.0 as well, but I would trade every single new feature for a "live song" (i.e. recordable track mutes) mode.

recordable track mutes would be so easy to implement to

jus put it in record and when you mute the track it deletes the parts on that track

easy

but i aint bothered i love my mpc how it is - anything else they add is a bonus

Its starting to sound like people are getting lazier. Alot of the things people want can be done manually.

I just want to see these features in the future battary-drived new mpc...
(It will be sick if it has the same size of a mpc1k).

will be really dopppppe.

You know what i think would be nice (which nobody's mentioned yet):

Gain / Output volume control on the Bitgrunger effect... to turn the outputlevel down after the sample's been thru the effect.

you know what i'm talking about?

This can already be done. the way you just described it. put it in record mode and when you get to the part you want muted, press that pad and erase.

it would be a little heavy but i was thinking for the 1k just put it on top of a sort of slimline docking station and the battery would be like a laptop battery. laptops put out more power than the mpc1k so there wouldn't be an issue of battery running out too fast. you would have a very short power cord running from the back of the mpc to a power converter on the battery pack. very simple, yet effecient.
