"it would have been smarter before christmas."
The statement makes little sense. Why would it be smarter to release before christmas? If they wait until after christmas but before new years, are they not "smart" anymore?
I thought it was smart to release software when it is well designed, tested and bug-free. We get enough of rushed, incomplete, and buggy software from Microsoft as it is. Does AP need to do it too? You make it sound like they are either "just sitting on it" or just waiting around to code it in all one day. Neither of which is true.
It would have been smarter if they released it before thanksgiving.
It would have been smarter if they released it before st patricks day.
It would have been smarter if they released it before the end of 2004.
None of those sound any better.
