Yeah i wouldn't turn that down...

otoh its not first on my list of requests because:
1. you can achieve most of those manually with some sequence editing
2. given the 1k's limited polyphony and subtle timing issues i would expect usage of these to make the machine 1 notch less stable then it already is
3. i bet we would end up with weird quirks and bugs in the implementation of something like that

yeah , probably what i'm lookin for, i sometimes think these machines can be a bit sterile, but if its got a goo poliphony, it may work out ok.

ive seen this applied elsewhere and it doesn't take many voices to do an interesting job, i mean echo's dont have to last forever, chorus can only sound good in simple measures, and quantise is indeed trimming down the voice usage i'm sure in principle this idea could work well.

My wish : fix the problem where the MPC freezes when using the Purge function and you have a lot of unmapped samples in memory. Just happened to me this w/e. I have seen other people mention the same problem IIRC. Anyone else experienced the same ? Any one know a workaround ?

More than 100 medium size samples usually equals a 5 - 10 minute wait before it has finished the purging.
Have never had the box freeze on me while purging, though it usually leaves enough time to stretch your legs, go have a piss, check your email and make a sandwich.
Try to wait and see if it has really frozen or it´s just calculation time. Don´t give up before it´s passed 10 minutes.

Thanks ryssen that's useful to know. I did wait a for a while but may be not long enough by the sounds of it. Maybe just a piss worth of time but not a drink/sandwich
