Hello Everyone. I just got my MPC 1000 and I need a straight answer on the RAM. What do I need to buy? There are too many people giving advised and it seems know one knows.

I just realized that Akai had done that with the memory. Its horrible. I used to have a Akai S1000 and I have a Akai s2800 and they over price all there memory.

Anybody else that has the EXM128 want to post what their board has in terms of

Part # print on the chips
total # of chips (including whether the chips are on oth sides or not)
and whether there are any stickers on the module indicating another number?

This other number should start with HY72V...

I'm trying to figure out if ALL exm128 parts are the same, or if akai has second sources for the memory. This is important in figuring out an alternative or if we can expand beyond 128MB (assuming code allows it).
