true. i don't need new pads. and maybe the price will go down after a couple months. or maybe that's only the case with video games and iphones.

quote from mpcstuff
They will work with blue or black MPCs with 2.11 software which we can provide or can be loaded from Akais Site.

so i guess that means that it will be a walk in the park for JJ to make it compatible.

Akai could have coded 2.11 in preparation for the new pad upgrade, could be a totally different system

Though, if JJ could have reverse engineered the old OS's and started again from the ground up, then I am sure he would have no problem re-creating the new code for the pads

why would the pads need a new a new os, or is we talking the old sensitivity settings in the old os wont be compatible?[/quote]

the reason the old os won't work is because the pcb had been reworked.

i've allready pre-ordered my pads on vstservice.com and looking forward to getting them in the mail in a couple of weeks.

i think thats shady as f*** that akai would do that... but whats an mpc without pads.... is it worth spending 200...?

if your about your mpc then of course. i wish that it was free tho'....

come on JJ work that code out... i hate the akai os!!!!!

i feel like im punked to buy that pad upgrade and to revert to the akai os!!!

man its like going back with you ex cuz she bought you a escalade

The JJ OS will work with the pad "upgrade" go look at mpcstuff.com, they even say that it will too so if anybody wants to doubt me forget about it...lol

By pad-ophiliac Tue Oct 09, 2007 6:56 am
so mpcstuff.com is the authority? i doubt they would sell many "upgrades" if they advertised otherwise. not saying the "upgrade" won't work, but i am saying that mpcstuff doesn't know any better than the rest of us. until the word comes from jj himself, i'll wait.

By evillmusic Tue Oct 09, 2007 2:53 pm
Pretty much...AND JJ SAID THAT IT WILL WORK SO THERE U GO!!...HATERS JUST CUASE SOMEONE ELSE KNOWS MORE THEN YOU ABOUT SHIT>>>>
