First of all it's pretty much logical that the bugs are new since the os is new and many of the features are new.

Nope, you should understand that there's a big difference between bugs and problems. Before a problem can be reported as a bug, it needs to be investigated. Many people around here are responsible and try to know precisely what's goin on, and for many there's a solution down the road. Some even had help from akai (funkybeat for example).
So if you have so many problems/glitches try to investigate them (are they reproductible, when do they happen exactly, what are the symptoms, are tehere dumps...), then check if they've been reported in here, if not try to do so, so we know whether we can reproduce them. Of course you may also contact akai support, I'm pretty sure they'll help you.
Oh, and you may downgrade as well.

@ funkybeat007: Sorry if I fail to express myself clearly :( : I meant that a pad setting of 70 in PROGRAM was the original volume of the sample in 1.07. In 2.1 a level of 100 is the original volume of the sample. And exactly BECAUSE your levels are the same in 1.07 and 2.1 you get the lower volume in some programs. Example: You have a pad set to 35. In 1.07, you have 50% of the original volume. Now you update to 2.1, pad still set to 35. But now it's only 35% of the original volume, so your volume is lower. I have some similar trouble with my beats, I'ma mix them again from scratch. Hope this time I don't speak chinese :D
Peace

i just love this OS, so far the only bug i found was the note repeat when you set the sample envellope decay to 100.

Can 't compare to OS1.07 i just received my MPC last week while OS2 was realeased so i just loaded it up straight away...

hey einstein, did you notice that the topic was PAINS OF OS2?

Jessiah Glitch! i found it but its different! i was in the trim mode n chopd up a sample then i went to the first one n trimd a sound i didnt want. i held down the loop pad n started hearing the whole sample and then i herd other samples that i got rid off by turning off my mpc. i dont know how the old samples are there, i didnt save them to my harddrive!

when i slice a sample into 64 regions all is gravy but when i go to convert to pgm the last chop gets cut short. no big deal, just wondering if anyone else exerience this?

The biggest problem with the new OS for me is the fact that you can't quickly alternate between STOP and PLAY START to stutter-start a beat or phrase (like someone said.) I used that a lot the last couple of times I played out, and now it's hard to do.

Specifically, when the STOP button is held down, it should still work to press the START buttons, but currently it does not.

here's a solution for stutter starters -

resample the first couple bars of your beat. make it a new file and put it on a pad in a new pgm
assign the next pad no sample, but set both pads on the same mute group, or at least target the resampled file w/ the sampleless pad.

use it just like you would start/stop. done!
