MPC 1000 PAD UPGRADE ORDER

Just put mine on, they feeel good, still dont feel like my ex 2XL but definitly good enough. One weird thing is when i trim sounds now I barley hear the sample, I have to turn on full level button, that never happened before, running jjOS1 4.99 Not a big deal, if this is the only issue then I'm excited, hopefully these pads will last a looong time.

man akai is scum, i should not have to pay another 200$ for somethign I only got 3 months use out of.

i installed mine yesterday but i'm having some tech difficulties. They aren't very responsive, i e-mailed mpc-stuff about it. should have'em up and and running soon enough. anyone else have this problem? i'm running jjos2, if its of any significance.

visit the jjos page for the manual - you need to calibrate your sensors. mike will tell you the same thing.

I finally got mine yesterday and installed them last night. I took my time and I really think I did everything just right. I got the senser pad on perfectly... and yes, I do think that they are not as sensative as I hoped. I even adjusted the sensativity to maximise it. I don't know if something is wrong or if this is how they are supose to be. Don't get me wrong they work... ?

Oh I just saw your post nym... Do you have a link? Is that the same thing as adjusting the pad settings?

it's on the website uunder pad setting, you'll find it in the jjos2 manual. i dnt have a link because the website is blocked for some reason from my work computer

the sensors are every bit as good as those in previous mpcs. there are 2 issues that need to be addressed: sensor calibration and the 1mm gap in between the sensor and the pad rubber. calibrate using the THRESHOLD setting in jjos2, and fill the gap with silicone glue and let it cure outside of the mpc. then you have sensitivity that rivals the korg padkontrol.

my pads are literally the most sensitive of any mpc/pad controller i've ever used now that i've tweaked em so much

oh SHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTT...it's like a dream come true...just fired it up...no calibrating and it works like a dream!

Hey i just got a mpc 1000 and im pretty sure it doesnt have the pad upgrade cause its used and its the blue and orange model. im just wondering whats the difference?

I didn't take any pictures! Sorry, I wasn't thinking about that at the time. One thing I can say is when I refer to "wax paper" and "paper" in that description I'm referring to the paper backing.

It's not difficult to imagine once you've got it in your hands. You fold over what's going to be the left the edge of the backing, turn the pads over, line them up using the holes and then press down on that left edge.

The reason you do it this way is you can take your time lining it up. If you remove all of the backing at once you're going to have a hard time of it.

The backing is slippery so don't let the sensors shift as you press down to stick the left edge.
