Hi im considering putting my name down for the pad upgrade but cant quite work out if i need it or not Doh!

My MPc 1000 was bought in March 08 is black and code is mpc1000bk not BKN though, when i pinch the pads i can see that they are all part of one piece of rubber, Im not sure about sensitivty as I have never owned another sensitivty pad based sampler. Any idead is this a new one with the good pad is or not? Cheers

congrats. you have the new pads. you just have to adjust the pad sensitivity. MODE-> PAD10->F4

consider yourself very lucky...

do you know what os you're using? jjos2 gives a lot of really nice options when it comes to pad sensor calibration.

If it's all the same piece of rubber you've got nothing to worry about. Look at the sticky topics on the pads and you can see the difference in construction.

why ask if you have new pads when you can just check yourself.

its not that hard to remove the lid and see for yourself. if your to lazy/scared to check yourself then you will be to lazy/scared to make any beats.

grab a screw driver there is a guide on youtube by mpcstuff.com
(keywords = pad, upgrade, mpc)

or you could just send your mpc to me and i would be more than happy to check for you.
