I am looking to upgrade the ram in my MPC 1000.
I do not want to spend an arm and leg on the Akia brand...
Here are two other options I have found on Newegg.com:
Kingston 128MB 144-Pin SO-DIMM PC 133 Laptop Memory $21.99
Kingston ValueRAM 256MB 144-Pin SO-DIMM PC 133 Laptop Memory $30.99
Will either or both of these work? Are these just as good as the Akai Ram?
My understanding is the 256mb will work but it will only show up as 128mb...if so, how will I know the 256mb is being utilized to its full capacity?
Will there be a noticeable difference in performance between the 128mb and 256mb?
Any feedback is appreciated.
