anyone have a yamaha mm6 midi'ed to their mpc?

i need to know exactly step by step how to make it work.

i cant seem to get more than 2 patches to transmit on channels 1 and 2.

i need to know how to get into a multitimbaral mode, how to set up patches to transmit on certain channels, and so on.

please help.

I had that same problem at first...finally figured out that you gotta input the LSB#, MSB#, and PC# of the sound you want outta the MM6 (numbers are in the chart in the back of the MM6 manual) into the MIDI SEQ on a track in the MPC. Then you gotta set "LOCAL" to OFF on the MM6.

well i ddint think it did mattered before but i have an mpc 500.

and i posted here because theres more people with 1000s and i didnt think it would make a difference.

but apparently i was wrong?
