Slaving the MPC1000 to Logic Pro 7

Hi! Thanks for reading this!

Here's what I want to do:
I have the MPC stereo audio outs going into my Audio Interface (Presonus Firebox) inputs, and I want to record tracks from the MPC into Logic pro 7 and then add Logic plugin instruments like piano bass, etc in on top. These Logic instruments need to quantize and sync with MPC audio.

Does anyone have a list of comprehensive settings they've been using to get Logic to control the MPC?

No, but only because there isn't one. Not "comprehensive" anyway. In the Akai OS you have notes, midi clock sync, stop/start, song position, program changes to change sequences and that's it. JJ OS1 gives you that plus MTC sync and Midi Machine Control plus pitch bend on the active track. OS2 also adds some active track filter controls.

Oh you mean logic settings nevermind.. but anyway that's everything you'll be able to control on the 1000.

Yeah, Logic settings. Because the MPC seems pretty straight forward. It's on the Logic end that I'm having trouble. Thanks for the reply anyway.

Check the manual at the top of the JJ OS forum -- I believe that includes a quick Logic tutorial.
