Playing Samples

First off, this is my first MPC so bare with me. I loaded a fairly long sample into the MPC1000 and when i trigger it with the pads, it cuts it short and loops it. What am I doing wrong?

go to the trim window and turn off the loop

It's still not working. There must be a limit to the length of sample you can play.

it's limited by the amount of ram you have installed.

if you're hitting a pad and while holding it down the sample loops, the loop function is on.

while in the trim window, make sure yer not using pad 13 to see if the loop is on or off. it says "PLAY LOOP" on the pad, and that's what it does. use pad 9 or lower. i missed that one for a while, i even called up akai usa all confused. they didnt figure it out either!

btw, how long is the sample anway
