Recording Digital Input Problem - Low Pitch

Hi , I am using the free jjos 3.08

Why is it when i record from the digital input (spdf) , and I play the sample back it sounds like a lower pitch. It sounds like someone slow the sample down.

If you have any suggestions on how to correct this problem please reply.

your sampling source is set to playback 48kHz and the MPCs sampling rate is 44.1kHz - think of like if you were recording something to a cassette tape and the playback speed was slower than the speed that the tape was rolling when you recorded it.

if your source is the computer then you should have an option in your sound card preferences to change the rate.

read up on sample rates and just digital sampling in general it should make more sense

it's good knowledge to know the basics of what you are dealing with

Thanks for this thread Had the same problem with my Lexicon MX 300, but changing to 44.1khz helped, though for a moment that my MPC was broken...
