Dont have chop on TRIM

when i try to do a sampl then i want edit it you go to trim and the f1 say trim, f2 loop then f6 edit but i was looking at youtube and ppl were chopping a sampl up they say do this and do that then they slice so i try it and my MPC 1000 dont have it i dont know what to do
