Insufficient Memory

I just recently purchased the MPC1K, new to using such equipment and I was wondering if anyone could help me with this predicament...

I just installed JJ OS and now i can't even assign my drums to pads because the MPC is telling me "Insufficient Memory"
I also have the 128MB card.

Heres what the stats are on my MPC

Card Free=8.7 MB
Wave Free=0.0 MB > I'm guessing cause of this maybe?
Seq. Free=1432KB

If anyone could help me with this i would be appreciated, thanks in advance

Sounds like you need more ram...... 128mb you say you have, are you talking about the CF card? You need to upgrade your ram, thatis the memory that is used with samples....


I can't think of away to explain it to you any better, I am dead tired right noww... Search for Memory upgrade, that should point you in the right direction.

are you still set to the default autoload? that probably takes up a few meg...

for the moment until you get the upgrade you can use the purge function to remove unused samples from the ram.

check your autoload.

It´s there any way to remove all the samples from the ram? I just want to load my samples and the ones that comes with the MPC are taking a lot of space.

yeah turn off autoload

I think someone already mentioned that in this thread but I can't seem to find it
