what kind of sample do you use...

...in your MPC 1000,cos i know you can't use it with an external CD-rom drive...Is all the people using it are connected to a computer...Let me know please.....

Yup, it's WAV format, 44100, 16-bit, mono or stereo only.
You can keep a bunch of related samples in a directory on the CF card and load them all in one go, even before you assign them to Pads to make a Program.

thanx for your answer but what i mean is that iit's not possible to use the 1 K without a computer,except if you only make "audio" sampling...with my olod 2k,i always use a CD-rom drive to load my sounds from CD-rom...and this is not possible with the 1k,isn't it? That a big inconvinient for me.....

Yep, we don't have direct loading from CD without a computer.
I think this was by design - the whole business of external CDs, SCSI etc. was where most of the problems were in the past. They could have allowed USB CD-ROM support, but that's still too new and would have jacked the price up. Definitely something to consider before you put money down....

....exact,that's why i won't buy a 1 k,never......

BTW i never had problems with my external devices connected to my 2k(cd-rom drive and zip drive).....
