just curious to know if anyone else records using the digital out
or is everyone still using the analog outs for seperation and eq..

I use digital into a Layla24. The aux outs go through a MoFX and a Nord Modular, then into the Layla.

Works like a charm. No hiss. No noise. and Cool Edit/Audition has more eq and f/x options than any mixer can hope for. It's the shiznit.

Weeellll..if your not using the distortion, it's clean enough (using +4 ins) to be cleaned up by cool edit's noise reduction

once you turn it on though.. ssssSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

But I still love it.

ah yes, I was hoping your hearing wasn't that bad!!!

I love mine too. $99 Blow out baby!! Sickest digital delay out there.

oops, did I say that out loud? It sucks! Too Noisy, use plug ins!

personally i dont use the digital outs much. i like the little tiny bit of extra beef the sounds get thru the regular outputs. i usually mix the whole beat - mpc, synths, reverbs, etc - with a mixer to a stereo file. i kinda feel like the mpc's converters sound more interesting than my 2408mk2's. for drums anyway

often i do keep a spdif cable plugged in tho. sometimes recording spdif into my mac is easier than bouncing the file via CF. sometimes it sounds better than resampling too.
