step edit, note variation question?

im running akai osv2.12, in step edit you have the note variation field which defaults to 'T' for tune, you can select 'F' for filter, or 'D' for decay etc, can you only adjust any one of these at once?

it gets worse... you're not only adjusting one at a time. anytime you change the note-on data to a different selectable modifier (frequency, tune, etc.) you lose the data you edited on any other modifiers. you can only have one modifier per note. meaning you can't step-edit change frequency and tune on the same note. .only one or the other. however, this can be done with "real-time" events via q-link and grid edit in jj. its endlessly frustrating.

is this problem addressed in any of the jjOS's? (other than as described above using the Q-Link sliders).

nope. i get the impression its pretty well-embedded in the sequencer

its the same with all the mpc's.
There is only one note variation parameter per pad event, JJ described it as "a specification of akai"

no worries just have to copy the sample to a new pad and dick with it in the usual way, would have been nice though.
