Ok guys i've been at this for a long time but i don't know if i'm taking the hard road at making my drums.....Let's say i have my tempo at 120.00 and my drums are 1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,....But after it loops once it will end at 1,2,2,1 and sounds out of wack....I usually change the tempo over and over till i can end it at 1,2 and start the loop at 1,2...Or even edit the beggening of the loop..I don't know if that's how everyone does it but when i see it on youtube everyone get's the dum patterns really easy..thx

I take it you're speaking of looping samples. If that's the case, the main rule of thumb is to match the tempo. It's virtually impossible to do what you're trying to do without locking this part down first.

But if you're making your own patterns, then it's all on you to dictate what the tempo will be.
