nothing comes up on the screen

quick question from seoul city
oneday started nothing comes up on the screen and i have no idea
when i turn my 1000 on then all i can see is backlight shinin
what should i do?

Press [stop] and turn the [jog] dial.

i just got mpc1000 off ebay and every time i insert the compact flash card it goes 'BLEEEEEEEEEEE' in my headphones and the screen goes blank, but the back light stays on. WTF???? can anyone help me, or has anyone experienced this? Noob..

you know what, i fixed it! one of the pins was bent over in the slot and i just bent it back with a likkle screwdriver and it was cushty.
