Dear fellow Akai users ...

I recently bought an MPD32 to control my software drums. However, between constant failures by the unit to cooperate with my sequencer ( Cubase SX3 ) and otyher strange anomolies with the unit, I am seriously considering taking the MPD32 back to my retailer and changing it over for an MPC1000.

My question is, though, can I hook the MPC1000 up to my sequencer program and use Cubase to control the MPC1000 ? :?:

Thanks, Kneebone ....

So, can I try for the 'long answer' now and ask how do you righ it up and set it up in order to do exactly that ?

We'll I don't use Cubase SX3 and I assure you that there's more than one way.

You could have Cubase control the MPC on various midi channels.
You could have the MPC sync to cubase.
And thats just the two I can think of right off the top of my head.

I'm sure there's someone here who uses Cubase SX3 specifically that will reply soon. :)
