Lately when I have been using my drum pads the sample repeats it self automatically even when I hit the pad only once. Sometimes it repeats itself once, while other times it repeats itself a couple of times. I have noticed it does not do this if i hit the pad exactly in the middle. Is there something wrong with my MPC because it has done this before but not this often. I may just be paranoid because I bought a floor model.

Any input???Thanx..

do you mean it sorta double triggers? like if the sample is a bass drum it goes "brudduh" as opposed to "bum"?

mine did that the first week i had it or so, then the pads broke in and it's been fine. a little bit of it is the technique of how you hit the pad too. you have to hit the pad pretty cleanly or you'll get more than one trigger.

Yeah what he said. You got to hit the pad swift you cant hit it slow or will get that double hit.

If you brought the floor model, the pads should already be broken in from people trying to demo it. I would say get it looked at, it could be defective.
