so i wake up and its missing!! no joke
jk.
i posted something a while back about my jog wheel being all sketchy, like it would be hard to move anything for example
if i wanted to go from track 01 to track 02, when i would move the data wheel it would like jump to track 3 and i would try do move it back to track 2 it would just move all over the place and sometimes even end up in like track 14!!!
anyways...
i opened up the mpc and decided to do surgery on it
the encoder was kinda loose and immediately i figured out, that that is the problem.
so i grabbed me some tweezers (is that what that tool is called)? and like an idiot i janked out the encoder. and CRACK!! i broke it!!!!
i was like "ohhhh dang......"
then i felt like an ass for about 1 minute and then checked and saw that well yeah it broke, but not the main part of it (the part that is on the board)
so i could still stick the encoder on there and it still worked, THANK GOD.
anyways.....
i grabbed me some super glue quicky, and glued the broken piece back togther (the piece that goes on top of the other piece, where you stick in the encoder between)
and let it dried....
and tried it out, and.... WHOOO WOOOP!!! the data wheel now works like 1000 times better now.
now i could move it without it anything going crazy.
i could finally go to track 1 to track 2 without a problem
i could finally go through my drums on my program.
yes!!!
well there still a small little glitch with it. sometimes it will skip over, but not as before.... like i could just move it back and i could go right back to want i wanted.
but before. i woulnd't even touch the data wheel and it would move.
i would be doing something and all of a sudden it would change the sequence.
but not no more.
i guess what i did was kinda of a good thing
but im probly still going to buy an encoder from mpcstuff or something.
V....
