^What's going guys... I just wanted to know how the users on here organize there beats. I used to have 2 folders: 1 for sequences and the other for programs/samples. That got complicated after a while and so I decided to give each project i do its own folders.... all the sequnces and programs/samples related. I just added a hard drive to my mpc and pretty soon I'll run into the fact that I'll have a TON of folders. I was thinking about separating the folders by year... how do you do your organization?

Make one folder for all your templates and a new folder for each beat. Its way easier to track them that way. I have a couple hundred beats in the 1000 and I number them all. After that I catalog everything from the samples used to the tempo and any other details, this way I can always go back to the exact beat no matter how long its been.

I save all the sequences, programs and samples I use in one beat to the same folder, and name that folder after the beat. So I only have to load the folder instead of loading each individual seq or progrm.
All these folders are saved in my beats folder, where I have divided them over several folders, which are catigorised in alphabetic order.
