i have a 4gb memory car for my 1000.......
it was empty when i started out with it, now i got 3 beats saved on it. plus all the programs and all of the sequences. i tried saving another beat and its already full????
did that really use up 4gb???
can someone help me to figure this out. thanks

BUT WILL THAT MEAN IF I DIDNT USE IT AT ALL IT WILL DELETE THEM???
I PRESS THIS WHEN I HAVE EVERYTHING LOADED UP, AND THEN RE SAVE IT???

it will only delete unused samples so lets say you sample 1 minute of audio and chop it up but only keep a few chops, using purge will clear the MPC of all the unused chops so you dont waste any resources including space when saving. You can load the program back up and purge then save again and you should have more space available on your card... And no prob homie.

but even with filled-up ram (128mb) you'd be able to save more than 3 beats on a 4gb card... did you format it on your mpc?

also theres a limit to how many files you can put on the root of the drive, i think its 512, you need to create seperate folders and save your files in them.

(definitely format your card from within the mpc though, making sure to back up the work you have done to your computer first.)

hook up your mpc to the usb to the pc. go to the save\load screen and hit the f key that has usb above it. let you pc mount to the mpc and then it will show up as a new drive letter on the pc. drag and drop.
