Terrible noise on 1K output?

I'm trying to track the output of my MPC 1K through a couple of Focusrites into Logic. There is a terrible noise, mostly on the right side, coming from the 1K. I don't hear this noise in the headphones. It sounds like digital noise.

You sure you're not just getting distortion from driving the signal too hard? Just because it sounds 'correct' on your headphones doesn't mean it represents the levels going out of the MPC. I find my right channel runs a little "hotter" signal wise for some reason...

Drop your output on the MPC and see if the distortion goes away. I'd also check to see if you've got any preamps or something turned on on one or both inputs.
