mpc in a thunderstorm

okay so i was kickin ass on this beat during a thunderstorm and i guess some lightning hit and when i went back to the

beat it was totally f'ed up. so i freaked out and found out that it was just what i was currently working on that got"fried"

for lack of a better word. previous projects that i load up are okay but i lost the whole new beat and this drum kit i

spent like 2 days puttin together. anyway, if anyone has ever had this happen to them i would like to know that im not

alone or am i? i have a surge protector and everything, anyway, lesson learned. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

maybe you should get a power conditioner instead of a surge protector

Good idea.....They get ride of any hum you might have aswell.

Invest in a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) that people use for their computers. This way, you have a certain amount of time to save your work when theres a loss of power.

thanks guys, im gonna get at least one of those, or never use the mp in a severe thunderstorm. lol
