I just got the new pads, new side panels, and even installed new LED's. For the first time my Mp was just the way I wanted it to be... Now here comes another problem. Here's what's up. Once in a while the sounds from the headphones sound extremely distorted. I hae plugged both headphones and speakers in at the same time and it is only distorted in the phones. So far, all I have to do is unplug them a few times and it'll work for a while again, but these types of problems always seem to get worse... Anyone know what's going on? Thanks in advance.

May just be a loose solder point! You could have loosened it will installing all the new bits. open up the mp and take a look, if you cant find it buy a new head phone jack and install that.
Good Luck,
Peace!

Thanks, I'll deffinately open this thing and check it out. If anyone knows where I can get a headphone jack that would fit, let me know. I don't see anything like that on MPCstuff's website and I don't know if this is something standard tat I could get at Radio Shack or what... I'm kind of new to the whole idea of actually working with electronics. (Other than programming that is.) One thing that all of this ongoing problem with the pads has tought me is that damn near everything can be replaced in these bad boys.

For a cool $US125 you could get a whole new headphone jack board:

http://www.mpcstuff.com/mpc-1000-memory ... one-b.html

Although, I'd be soldering a new jack onto the existing board or re-soldering the one that's already there, but it is good to know that if that falls through, you could always get one of the above...
