MPC 1000 + alesis trigger iO + external pads

hello there,

I've got a mpc 1000 and I want to plug in it some external pads (they're not midi just plug with jack)... so I've bought a trigger to get a midi signal

I've set the midi channel and the midi notes on the trigger like that

midi channel 1 / 2
midi note 36 (C3) / 38 (D3)

but in the mpc the midi notes are 36 (C1) and 38 (D1)

so it doesn't work

I've tried to change the tune in the mpc in the sampls window ( I've tried +24 and -24 because of the 2 octaves I need to check)

could you help me please

Sounds like you are changing the tune of the sample assigned to a pad.
You need to change the midi note assigned to the pad.

yeah that's what I think too but I don't know how I can do that
