16 Levels and Midi Keyboard?

is there any way that I can line up the keys and play a sample using the 16 levels function with a external Midi Keyboard?
I set it up in my Program and it still wont play the 16 Levels

I don't think so: you're changing the MIDI that the Pads send, which has no relation to the incoming MIDI...

damn that is really stupid on Akais part. Why else would you want to use a keyboard with your MPC?

Agent725 that's why I got the Motif ES 6 it can do it mos def! Actually my Motif ES 6 helps the 1k out alot that's why its a tight duo!

You can, but not 16 levels, you need to change the midi note assignment of the pads to be chromatic and manually put tuned samples on each pad (can be tuned copies) to play melodies with a midi keyboard.

Yup - I've been doing this, see my site at the link below for downloadable examples, e.g. the Hollow Sun CP-70 piano samples plus my custom PGM.

You assign and tune each sample individually: it gets quicker with practice.
I'm also reassigning the Pad/MIDI so that it's linear all the way up, notes from A01-D16 = 35-98.
