MIDI Problems

Hi,
I have connected a Midi Boss Pad (Boss MPD-4 http://www.bossarea.com/other/mpd4.asp ) to my AKAI. Is a midi pad, just like a trigger.
When I play at lower volume, all is OK.

But when we play shows, in locals with high volume, the Boss vibrates and it sends a signal to AKAI, its is understandable.
But the problem is now: The MPC stops all the sounds that is playing (sequences and samples) for a few seconds.

I dont know if its a AKAI problem or a Boss problem.
The MIDI configuration in the MC is OK, just trigger a sample.

I check it with the Boss "Sens" knob at minimum, but the problem still happening.

Do you know what could be the problem?

Sounds strange.

Maybe a midi feedback loop? (do you have both the ins and outs connected?)

Try hooking up the dr4 to sth. else, and see what happens under the same conditions.

Most gear only hangs for some (short) time when receiving sysex commands, so hook up the dr4 to your pc with a midi sequencer recording or sth. like midiox to see whats been sent.
