Acid 4.0

Has anybody made quality stuff in acid? And if you got some sequences on your MPC 1K can and how do you get them into acid?

Match the tempo in Acid with the MPC. Hit record from Acid and push play on the MPC. If it get out of time, Acid has a feature called Beat Mapper that clean it all-up.

wow, that's a very dirty way of transfering your tracks. Better use MIDI clock to sync Acid with MPC. All depending of what sound card you're using, you'll get some latency, but I wouldn't recommend that Beat Mapper thing. It shrinks or streches your tracks, giving them horrible sound sometimes.

If you are just a begginer, you can always start like that, but later on, I definitly recomend MIDI syncing.

To sync Acid with the MPC is not a begginers thing. Some people still can't get it to work, but he may catch-on quickly if someone can show him. I have Acid 3.0; not 4.0. People were scaring me because they cry about the bugs in 4.0. Maybe Acid 4.0 is a lot better now, but I don't know.

Just to give you an example. I used soundblaster live with CoolEdit. I recorder 10min of my beat on one track. Then I stoped the recording and started recording vocals on another track. When I was recording vocals, I was rhymeing to the beat, but when I play them later on, the first few minutes were ok, but after few minute, the vocals were starting to go more and more off beat.

As I said before, for now, use whatever you have. But later, when you feel like you need something more Pro, then you can start investing.

Use your MPC to make loops 2,4,8,16 bars long.
export loops from mpc.
load them up in Acid, paint out a song.

efekt that shit happened to me one time i was exporting beats out of fl studio 4 and the rapper rode the beat perfect during record ( beat was being played directly out of program during recording for continuious loop) but when i layered the vocals and the beat they matched at first then shifted off i think it has sumthin to do with the samplerate the beat was saved as

Last nite i was fooling around with this sample in acid and after i had it all doctored up I did a save as gave it a name and then i exported it to a wav. When i loaded the sample on my mpc it had none of the stuff i edited, it was the same way it was when i brought it in to acid, this went on for bout an hour and a half. I was wondering if i did or didnt do something, btw it was a voice

Are you sure you used "render" and not "save"? I use render, I check the box of "loop region only" and I make sure the loop marker is where I want the sample to start and stop. Not sure if that answers your question but that works for me.

worked like a charm, thanks. another thing, can i hook up a oxy 8 to play simple melodies in acid?

I've never used the MIDI functions in acid, I actually am still using 3.0 where the MIDI functions were fairly meek. I hear its better in 4.0 but I can't speak from experiance.
