hello. I have an MPC 1000 and i connected it to a hp laptop to exchange samples via USB. While i was transfering them it stopped and my MPC went blank. I unplugged the MPC from the computer and tried to access the flash card drive. The flash card drive was inaccessible and no samples came up when trying to load samples from the card. I tried a couple times and then it worked and i was able to load the samples but when i turned off the mpc and turned it back on it would not recognize the flash card drive. After a week it worked once more and then stopped again. When i connect the MPC to the computer via USB the computer doesn't not recognize the flash card drive in the mpc. The computer will actually freeze when trying to load the drive and i have to unplug the MPC from the computer for the comptuer to work again.
When i try to load files from the flash card onto the MPC...the MPC will freeze and it will not get out of the freeze mode, until i take the flash card out of the drive then the MPC will go back to the main screen where i can play the internal songs that came with it. I have tried to format all the cards and did a factory reset on the MPC but the flash card drive still doesn't work. I checked the pins in the MPC and they all are straight and non of them are bent.
Would anyone know what might be the problem and how i could fix it? Should I take the MPC apart and unplug the flash drive then plug it back in and see if it works or could the whole flash drive be broken? If it is unrepairable, where can i find a new flash drive for the MPC100?
thank you so much for helping me out
