RAM Trouble

Peace.

I bought a Kingston 144pin PC133 SODIMM CL3.

I install it and switch the 1k on, and it says:

MPC1000 BootBlock Ver:1.03
Boot on SODIMM memory check mode
Total memory size 128MBytes
Check memory ......
Pass 1: (and then it starts to count up frpm 1% aiming at 100%)

When the count is about to switch to 75% it says:

MPC1000 BootBlock Ver:1.03
Boot on SODIMM memory check mode
Total memory size 128MBytes
Check memory ......
Pass 1: failed(8c000000)
The problem was found in memory.
Please check the memory.

And I can't do shit.

I have tested the memory on both the 2.11 standard AKAI OS and also the JJ 3.08.

btw, the memory is brand new, I just took it out of the seal

it has to be 256mb I believe because the mpc memory is single sided therefore only recognizes the 1 side. by it being 256 you have 128 on both sides... I would suggest to try to reinstall very carefully if you already have the 256mb.

check that thread out because there are guys having the same issues as you...I believe the memory might have some sort of issue not the MPC. Sorry I couldnt be of much help but, hey good luck and I suggest you return that ram and buy another one.
