I've read the other posts about various glitches but I didn't see anything relating to the problem I am experiencing with my 1000. When I play back a longer sample, it loops randomly in the middle instead of playing all the way through. I've tried all the common sense stuff like reloading the sample, wiping the memory, even upgrading the OS but no luck. The sample looks normal in the trim window and plays fine on the computer but a soon as I load it up on the MPC, it does this random looping thing. It seems to happen with anything I load. Anyone have this problem? If so, please let me know and maybe we can start another glitch list. Peace

I don't know if you already tried this but when you load a loop or a long sample you need to make sure you have it set as "note on" and not a "one shot". Also let's say you are trying to record and you loaded a drum loop that let's say is 80 bpm 2 bars but you have the tempo set at 100 bpm on the MPC at 2 bars, since the MPC1000 does not do timestretch it will hit the end of 2 bars before your loop does and cut it off. So your loop needs to match the tempo of the MPC. If play the loop without the MPC sequencer running you will notice that the loop will play in it's entirety unless your loop start and end points are not set correctly. Start and end points should be setup the same for a loop and the MPC does this by default. I hope this helps and if this is not what you are talking about sorry man.

Thanks for the reply but I've tried all the things you mentioned and still no luck. It seems like the files are getting corrupted somehow during the transfer or something. In the trim screen, the wave appears to have been chopped and put back together wrong. My only idea is maybe the CF card is bad or something. Thanks
