Mpc 1000 midi sync help.

Im trying to track out my beat using midi sync. Im not sure what to do, need some help.

I tried hooking up my mpc 1k to my computer with my M audio uno. I was able to start and stop my mpc like i should cuz midi only sends signals right? What Im wondering is. What do i have to do to track the beat. Like the audio track by track into cubase or fruity loops? do i need an audio interface to or wha...im confusin myself with this an i know its easy.

right now I have both my mpc and mpc 1000 hooked up to a receiver.
and my reciever to my computer so i can have my pc on one channel mpc on another and yeah.

But like I said I have an m audio uno and a reciever and im trying to track my beat out into cubase or FL studio with my mpc 1k.

You need to route the audio from your mpc to the computer. And have the midi hooked up. That's the basic setup. Search for the details

Im just wondering though if you or someone else could just gimme a tip or what you would do. I have my mpc hooked up to a channel on my pioneer reciever. I tried going from stereo outs on my mpc to a channel line in on my reciever then theres an out right next to it so i went from the out to the line in on the computer. and i have the computer audio on a whole different channel on the reciever going to the speaker in on the back of my computer. now when i press the pads i cant really hear anything. Im not really sure where to go from here. Ive been lookin in the threads a while woderin if someone could help. Im trying to midi sync it with fruity loops or cubase. I have a reciever a mpc computer might not need the reciever Idk. just wonderin how i can get the audio and midi to sync when I press play.

conect the mpc audio to the pc. the midi to the pc. then the pc audio out to the reciever. you can leave it hooked up like this all the time. but you will need your pc on to hear your mpc. that way your mpc audio and fl or cubase or reason audio plays too. your pc serves as the mixer

Alright thanks man I feel dumb when i think about it now. It makes sense thats whats up. Oh yeah another thing. When I hooked up the mpc before, I had midi working I could start and stop the mpc from cubase. but when i tried recording each track solo I couldnt. I could start it and play it but i wouldnt record in cubase. Im jus wonderin if this will make it sync the track now or do is there a audio setup i have to go through in cubase like i had to with midi? Hit me back thannks.





It might be in the posts but man ive been searchin. cant seem to really find much.

you have to set cubase to go active on the channel you want to record. and there is an initial setup of the audio input device. just like the midi

Alright. Man this sucks ive been sittin here for days trying to do that I dont really have a manual. Anyone know how to get cubase OR fruity loops to recognize my audio. I got it to recognze my midi. But when i try to record it. It wont record my audio. I know its simple. I have my mpc going to the line in right next to the speakers on my soundcard.

you know what man i dont have fl studio on my pc anymore. all i have is nuendo and i dont remember the setup on fl.
