10 second sample on 1 pad

I've got a 10 second sample on one pad, and I want to be able to play just the first second or so for the most part, but be able to play 5-10 seconds of it by holding down the pad. Surely there's a way to do this. I have JJOS 4.99... thanks.

just chop up the sample.

Take your ten sec. sample and assign it to a pad. click MODE and hit pad 11. change the play mode to NOTE ON. this will make it play when you hold the pad for as long as you want. I think this is what you were asking....
