so i have chopped up my sample and recorded it.....now i am going in to lay down the drums....i have set the sample on track 1....i go to track 2 for laying down the drums....but when im recording....if i hit a drum pad to layer with the sample.....the drums cut the sample out....and all i can hear is the drum.....why is it doing this and what do i have to do so i can lay down drums without it cutting out my sample

look up how to set the program from mono to poly in the manual. that will fix it. anytime you chop a sample and make it a program via the fkeys, it will be in mono.

You may also check what it is your saying... if you "layer" a kick drum with the sample, your going to have issues. "Layer" has a meaning than just placing on top of a sample.

Need more, let me know.
